NASA: Space Systems Laboratory .
I had the privilege to design, build, and test an inflatable airlock for the NASA Artemis mission.
Every house needs a door. Every moon lab needs a moon door. But what do you do if you dont have room in the lauch vehicle to fit an airlock module? You make a collapsable room that can withstand positive and negative pressurization of course!
Flying Carpet .
I was lucky enough to be chosen as the lead engineer for a team of 14 that invented the worlds first flexible rotorcraft.
Originally classified under the name FC, the project was aimed at developing nodes capable of independant flight, that could be attached to one-another ad-hoc to assemble a larger vehicle.
Maryland Space Grant Consortium .
While exploring ultra low ballistinc coefficient decellerators, we designed, built, and deployed a 1:10 model of the Space-X Flacon 9 heat-shield from 100,000 feet using a weather balloon.
Although this was done without SpaceX involvement, after sharing our results on Twitter, Elon Musk reached out and incorperated our findings in production decisions.
